What kid doesn’t love colouring in? Even my 1 year old enjoys it! Colouring sheets are great for calming kids down.
They help to develop their imagination and creativity. And they also improve their fine motor skills. With all that in mind, here are some free Christmas pictures to print for your kids.
They’re a handy resource to have. Especially when the excitement of Christmas gets too much!
This is my first year of making my toddler a Christmas eve box. I didn’t want to go overboard and spend loads of money filling it with things he would only use once. So one of the things I’m putting in is a colouring book.
I ordered a toddler-friendly one online. But I was a bit annoyed when it arrived. It only had a few festive images in it. And I expected a bit more.
In the end, I did what I should have done in the first place. I made my own simple festive colouring sheets. I wanted to share them with you today. Save time scrounging around on the internet for free Christmas pictures to print. And save money of course!
Free Christmas Pictures to Print
I like my Xmas colouring pages more than the colouring book I bought because they’re BIGGER. I made the lines thicker too. Which means your toddler or preschooler has more space to scribble!
The downloadable print outs are in a pdf format. They print in a4 size. But you can also adjust your printer settings to make them smaller. (Select the 2 per page option.)
I started by making a few of the best Christmas pictures. Like Santa, a stocking, a simple Christmas tree and a gingerbread man.
Then I thought of more things to add. So what started as a few free printable Xmas colouring pages, turned into 10!
Here are the free Christmas pictures you can choose from:
- Santa
- A Snowman
- An elf
- A Reindeer
- A gingerbread man
- Bauble
- Stocking
- A Christmas tree
- A decorated Christmas tree
- A present
Ways to use the Colouring Pages
Give your kids the simple sheets to colour in. Use them to trace over, or as cutting practise. Or use them to create your own arts and crafts.
Here are some of the ways I’m planning on using our print outs.
Putting them into my toddlers Christmas eve box for him to colour in.
Using them as a do a dot activity and paint them using DIY bingo daubers (made from hand sanitiser bottles).
