How to Use Our Free Infant Stimulation Cards
First, lay your baby on their back. Then choose a card and hold it in front of their eyes. Give them a few moments to look at it themselves. And watch their reactions.
Then talk to them about the baby in the image. Point out their facial features and talk about the person’s emotions and feelings. Your baby won’t be able to understand, but they may try and talk back to you!
Move the card from side to side. This will encourage them to turn their head and help their visual tracking skills too.
Try doing this sensory play activity during your baby’s tummy time sessions. Place them on their front. Then lay next to them and hold the card in front of their face. Repeat the steps above. You could also place the card down on the floor in front of them. So they can look at it this way too.
