Are you looking for free and easy ways to keep your toddler busy? Our free printable grapes colouring page is what you need. Kids love colouring in. It encourages creativity. And it’s a perfect way to develop the fine motor skills needed for writing.
When it comes to my toddler, I encourage learning through play whenever I can. But sometimes I need 5 minutes to put a load of washing on (without all the buttons being pushed.) Or to drink a warm coffee! So I decided to create a sheet of printable grapes for him to colour in. It keeps him busy for at least 5 minutes and he loves it.
I wanted to share it with you. So you can keep your little one busy too.
This page is part of my collection of simple fruit colouring pages for kids. Check out the other pages below.
Printable Grapes Worksheet/Page
The grapes colouring in page is in a PDF format and prints onto A4 paper. The large design means your toddler will have plenty of space to colour in.
How to Use the Grapes Colouring Page In Activities
These printable grapes are perfect to use in activities. Here are some ideas to help you get started.
Playdough
Laminate the grapes image and use it as a playdough mat. Encourage your toddler to manipulate, squish and roll the playdough into balls. Then place each one onto the mat.
Teach important mathematical concepts by encouraging your toddler to:
Count
Make larger or smaller balls
Add more each time
Bingo Daubers
The large circles on the grapes printable means you can use bingo daubers to colour it in. Don’t have any at home? Make a DIY bingo dauber yourself using recycled materials you already have.
Create your own game
Make your own game using the grapes colouring page. All you need is dice and colouring pencils. Start by rolling the dice. Then colour in the number of grapes shown.
It’s a great way to get your toddler or preschooler counting and thinking.
They can play this game alone or you can print a sheet for yourself and play alongside.
I’d recommend playing alongside them first. You’ll be able to teach them how to play which will then help them to play on their own.
DIY Puzzle
Decorate the bunch of grapes colouring sheet yourself. Then cut it into strips to make a simple puzzle for your toddler to complete. The more strips you cut, the harder the puzzle will be. You can also cut out each of the circles to make a more difficult puzzle.
Tip: stick it onto cardboard to make it last longer.
I’ve only written about a few ways you can use the grapes colouring page. But there are so many more!
