Our easy, red apple colouring in page is perfect to use with your toddler or preschooler. As we all know, toddlers scribble. But the large, simple design of our free apple printables gives them loads of space to do so!
We’ve recently gone into another lockdown here in the UK. And we’ve been having lots of gloomy, rainy days. So I decided to make my toddler some fruit colouring in sheets.
The easy, red apple colouring page and other pictures of apples to print are part of that collection. And that’s what I’m sharing with you today.
Use the colouring sheets when you’re stuck indoors on a cold winter’s day. Or when you need 5 minutes of peace!

The free apple printables come in a pdf format and print onto a4 paper. If you want them smaller, change your printer settings to 2 to a page (or 4 etc). Print on paper for colouring in or cardstock if you’re using them in painting activities.
Here are the 3 different designs you can choose from:

The great thing about the free apple printables is that there are endless ways to use them.
Here’s how I’m planning to use ours with my 17 month old.
First, we will use the red apple colouring in page with chunky crayons. Then we will move onto using rock crayons to colour them in.
We are going to paint a different fruit each day using our DIY bingo daubers. Then we’ll stick them to our fridge. I’ll then use them to encourage my toddler to pick between 2 fruits he would like for a snack. It’s a great activity for his communication skills!
So there are a few of the ways we’re going to use ours.
